Me on 15 Aug

There is no place like home that could provide you everything in the world. Peace, harmony, love, comfort. Probably that is why people say ;home sweet home'. I spent my entire day at home catching up with television and music. I wanted to blog but my computer has been destroyed in the recent power failure at home. The aftermath of Friday's incident is still lingering in our minds and heart. The fear has not truly gone. The residue of it is still in us.

Independence is an important word for most countries in the world. It means freedom, but to most nations it means more. The freedom they have now did not always exist. For most countries, being independent means they have been released. The idea of independence, with regards to a country, arose because they wanted to be released from the grasp of colonization, but this system of control tended to be a benefit to those with power. People often gained rights that should never have been denied, such as the right vote and the right to choose a religion.

Today is the Independence Day of India. India's Independence Day is celebrated on 15 August to commemorate its independence from British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation on that day in 1947. Independence day is always special as it reflects our patriotism. Do we love our country? Of we do. I know I do. Its a blessed country and I'm glad to have been born in it. Whenever the topic of patriotism comes into question, I always get goosebumps. The Voice of Freedom. I think back to the days my parents and their parents when through under the foreign regime. Tough times. It seems like that is the reason for them to have higher resistance than us, the modern day people. The hardmanship that they endured, the torture, the pain of losing their loved ones and many more.

Guess everything paid off. Today, we live a good life, a blessed life. Thank you to our ancestors.
